Struggling Gold Coast theme parks with animal attractions will get a funding lifeline worth $95 million.
Federal Tourism Minister Simon Birmingham said the initiative would provide vital assistance for exhibiting zoos and aquariums hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis and needed funds for fixed operational costs for animal care.
McPherson MP Karen Andrews MP said the funding would be vital for ensuring Coast attractions were ready to re-open their doors and welcome visitors when restrictions could be eased.
