Volunteers freely give their time to support organisations across Australia in a variety of ways, and make an extraordinary contribution to our southern Gold Coast community.
That’s why the Morrison Government is backing Australia’s volunteers, with up to $20 million in grants now available to support them in local communities across the nation.
$132,450 is available in McPherson as part of the 2021 Volunteer Grants round with local eligible, not-for-profit community organisations invited to submit their expression of interest.
Grants between $1,000 and $5,000 are available – to buy small equipment for volunteers, for reimbursing volunteer fuel, transport or training costs, or to support promotional activities.
You can find out more information and check the eligibility of your organisation via the Australian Government’s GrantConnect website.
If you’re eligible, download this Expression of Interest (EOI) form and return the completed form to the McPherson electorate office by 16 April 2021.
The Department of Social Services will then send an application form to nominated organisations to apply for funding in May 2021.
Successful applicants will be announced in November 2021.
